Train to Teach: Mindfulness and Self-Compassion Lessons for Kids
Would you like to learn to teach Mindfulness and Self-Compassion lessons to children?
Mindfulness and self-compassion can help kids handle big feelings, bounce back from challenges, and treat themselves with kindness.
In this program, you’ll learn how to teach fun and effective lessons that have already helped thousands of children in Milwaukee and around the world. These lessons come from the research-based Mindfulness and Self-Compassion for Children and Caregivers (MSC-CC) program and the Mindfulness and Self-Compassion Workbooks for Kids, created by Jamie Lynn Tatera—a certified Mindful Self-Compassion teacher and elementary school educator.
This accessible and engaging course is designed to help you share mindfulness and self-compassion with children in simple, playful ways. And you’ll be building your own mindful self-compassion skills as you learn to help kids do the same!

“Jamie Lynn’s Level 1 Mindfulness and Self-Compassion is more than an introductory program for adults interested in teaching kids mindfulness and self-compassion. It’s a one-stop-shop, all comprehensive program that’s structured, accessible, and research-based. The workbook is equally designed and delivered. It’s more than an educational curriculum – it’s a lifelong toolkit of coping strategies to self-regulate that will serve your students and children as well as your grown-up self.” -Claudia Cavallaro, CRHA, CCW

“I have so enjoyed your Train to Teach Mindfulness and Self-Compassion Lessons for Kids, Level 1 course. This course was a great way to introduce my 9 year-old son to mindfulness and self-compassion in a fun and practical way. While I signed up for the course for my son, I feel that I gained just as much for myself through working through the lessons and workbook.” -Gretchen H., Parent
